U.S. Army Targets COVID-19 Vaccine Candidates for Human Trials

The Walter Reed Army Institute of Research has chosen a lead COVID-19 vaccine candidate from more than two dozen prototypes and plans to begin clinical trials later this year.

The institute plans to begin patient enrollment for a phase 1 trial next month and expects to begin dosing in September, a spokesperson said.
