Sinovac Says COVID-19 Vaccine Generated Immune Response

Beijing-based Sinovac said its CoronaVac COVID-19 vaccine candidate induced an immune response in a phase 1/2 study.

The company said the vaccine induced neutralizing antibodies in 90 percent of participants 14 days after vaccination.

Sinovac is planning a phase 3 trial in collaboration with Brazil’s Instituto Butantan, and it is building a manufacturing facility for large-scale production.
