Nonin Medical’s Portable Measurement Device Cleared

Nonin Medical received 510(k) clearance from the FDA for its CO-Pilot device, a handheld system designed for use by emergency medical services, firefighters and military personnel.

The system is designed to measure patient parameters in the event of cardiac arrest, traumatic injury, carbon monoxide poisoning or smoke inhalation.

The wireless device can simultaneously track a patient’s pulse rate, blood oxygen and carbon monoxide levels, among other measurements.
