Rapid Medical Earns CE Mark for Blood Clot Retriever

Israel-based Rapid Medical has obtained a CE mark for its Tigertriever XL, a device designed to safely remove large blood clots from intracranial vessels up to 9mm in diameter.

The device expands to the diameter of the vessel to potentially reduce the number of passes required to remove large stroke-causing clots.

Despite its large adjusted size, the device can be delivered using a standard microcatheter with a 0.53mm internal diameter.
