VIDA Diagnostics’ Deep Learning Algorithm Gets FDA Clearance

The FDA has granted 510(k) clearance for VIDA Diagnostics’ VIDA algorithm, artificial intelligence-based (AI) software that analyzes lung scans.

The algorithm is an addition to the company’s LungPrint suite that helps to improve lung- imaging assessments by including disease probability and progression.

The AI-powered analysis “empowers physicians to develop personalized treatment plans that can improve outcomes and quality of life,” the company said.
