Implanet’s and SeaSpine’s Pedicle-Screw Stabilization System Cleared by FDA

Implanet’s and SeaSpine’s Mariner Cap pedicle-screw stabilization system has received 510(k) clearance from the FDA for treating adult degenerative disorders.

The system combines Implanet’s Jazz Cap technology, a system for securing screws in weak bone, with SeaSpine’s Mariner pedicle-screw system. It was developed jointly by the two companies.

The Mariner Cap system, which will be used for treating spinal disorders, is expected to be launched in the U.S. in the coming weeks, the companies said.
