Elekta Earns CE Mark for Cancer Treatment System

Elekta has obtained CE mark certification for its Elekta Harmony Linear Accelerator for delivery of radiation treatments to cancer patients.

The device offers options for multiple treatment techniques and imaging, providing versatility for breast, lung, pelvic, and head and neck cancers.

The compact system is 30 percent smaller than Elekta’s other linear accelerators and can reduce patient setup time by as much as 50 percent, the company said.
