AI Metrics Gets 510(k) Clearance for Oncology Image-Analysis System

The FDA has granted AI Metrics 510(k) marketing clearance for its flagship artificial intelligence (AI) image-analysis platform.

The system’s first application, AI Mass, helps radiologists to analyze images and monitor advanced cancer over time, enabling them to analyze computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging scans in half the time it takes traditional methods, the company said.

The image-analysis platform uses the power of AI to improve consistency and to reduce errors, AI Metrics said.
