Imris/Deerfield Imaging Gets 510(k) Clearance for Its iMRI 3T-V Surgical System

Imris/Deerfield Imaging has received 510(k) clearance from the FDA for its iMRI 3T-V surgical system.

The system, which offers improved imaging quality by minimizing unwanted motion effects, uses Siemens’s BioMatrix 3T technology, which adapts to patient differences, reducing exam variations and the need for rescans.

The iMRI 3T-V is intended to improve intraoperative vision for clinicians to assist in their decision-making and enhance precision in treatment, the Minneapolis, Minn.-based company says.
