Spartan Micro Gets FDA’s 510(k) Clearance for Its MC 0165 Microcatheter

Spartan Micro has received the FDA’s 510(k) clearance for its Spartan MC 0165 microcatheter, used to deliver therapeutic devices for peripheral vascular procedures.

The long microcatheter has demonstrated better reach, trackability, kink resistance and control than similar microcatheters in in vitro testing, according to Satoshi Tateshima, Spartan Micro’s chief medical advisor.

The Costa Mesa, Calif.-based company specializes in endovascular-based devices for use by interventional radiologists.
