Abionic Gets CE Mark for Its COVID-19 Saliva Test

Abionic has received a CE mark for its one-minute IVD Capsule COVID-19 test using its abioSCOPE testing platform.

The antigen test is designed to be used at schools, events, companies, hotels or airports, according to the Switzerland-based company.

The test user mixes the saliva sample with the reagent and inserts it into the IVD Capsule, which is then loaded onto the abioSCOPE reading device tray. After approximately one minute, the result appears directly on the screen of the abioSCOPE, including information about the potential contagiousness of the patient.
