Eurofins Technologies Gets CE Mark for Test for COVID-19, Flu, RSV

Eurofins Technologies has received CE mark certifications for two real-time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) assays that can diagnose respiratory diseases caused by the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, the influenza virus or respiratory syncytial virus (RSV).

The multiplex kits — Mplex SARS-CoV-2+, Flu A, Flu B (C1) RT-PCR and RSV A, RSV B RT-PCR — are designed to detect and differentiate between the three viral infections in the same PCR run.

The test kits can provide results distinguishing between COVID-19, flu and RSV infections in about one hour, the company said.
