February 15, 2022
Santa Clara, Calif.-based Uh-Oh Labs has received Emergency Use Authorization from the FDA for its UOL COVID-19 test.
The test, which detects the SARS-CoV-2 virus from nasal swab specimens, uses isothermal amplification technology.
Test analysis is limited to laboratories that are certified under the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments of 1988 (CLIA), which can be point-of-care facilities that are patient care settings operating under a CLIA certificate.
