Baebies Receives CE Mark for COVID-19 Point-of-Care Testing Platform

Durham, N.C.-based devicemaker Baebies has received a CE mark for its Finder SARS-CoV-2 point-of-care polymerase chain-reaction (PCR) test.

The test provides qualitative detection of RNA from the SARS-CoV-2 virus in nasopharyngeal and nasal swab specimens in 17 minutes or less.

The Finder testing platform features a toaster-sized instrument with a mini tablet for the user. Each test is run on a single-use disposable cartridge.
