Pfizer Employees Asked to Return Overpayments

Pfizer employees who were accidentally overpaid following a ransomware attack on its payroll processor must return the overpayments, the company said.

The hacking of Ultimate Kronos Group in December created system access problems that impacted the tracking of hours worked. The attack disabled the Kronos Private Cloud, a workforce management service, leaving many organizations using manual records

Although the overpaid staff are expected to return the extra money, Pfizer said it would pay an extra $250 to compensate each employee.
