Astura Medical Granted FDA Clearance for its El Capitan Interbody Fusion System

Astura Medical has received 510(k) clearance from the FDA for its El Capitan oblique anterior lumbar interbody fusion system.

The device features multiple plating and fixation options that allow for either a zero-profile, half plate or full plate that can be implanted in combination with the interbody device from either a left- or right-sided approach.

The system is designed to accommodate a wide variety of anatomical challenges, the Irving, Tex.-based company said.
