Alio Remote Monitoring Technology Receives FDA’s 510(k) Clearance

Broomfield, Colo.-based Alio has received the FDA’s 510(k) clearance for its remote monitoring system for use by healthcare professionals to collect patients’ physiological data in home settings.

The Alio SmartPatch system collects physiological data, such as skin temperature, auscultation sound data and heart rate.

The company is planning additional 510(k) submissions for the system for use in remote patient monitoring of electrolytes, fluid management and fistula status.

It is also being studied for specific patient populations, such as chronic care patients with conditions such as end-stage kidney disease, patients undergoing hemodialysis and patients with heart failure and peripheral vascular disease.
