Clarius Wireless Ultrasound Scanners Approved in Canada

Clarius Mobile Health has received Health Canada’s approval for its handheld ultrasound scanners that wirelessly connect to clinicians’ smart devices.

The Clarius HD3 is about the size of a smartphone, with artificial intelligence-based software and touch-based controls. The device features high-definition ultrasound and three standard scanning modes.

The handheld device “offers the same high-performance imaging as a traditional ultrasound scanner for a fraction of the cost,” the Vancouver-based company said.
