Caretaker Medical’s Wireless Hemodynamic Monitor Cleared

May 2, 2022

Caretaker Medical has received the FDA’s 510(k) clearance for the latest version of its VitalStream noninvasive patient monitoring system.

The clearance for the finger-sensor device includes four new continuous hemodynamic parameters — cardiac output, stroke volume, heart rate variability and left-ventricular ejection time.

The wireless device, which offers intensive care unit-grade hemodynamic monitoring, does not limit patient mobility, and it provides continuous measurements that eliminate “blind spots” between manual spot-check measurements, the company said.
