Dominion Aesthetic’s EON Lipolysis Device Cleared

Houston, Tex.-based Dominion Aesthetic Technologies’ EON Smarter Body Contouring has received the FDA’s 510(k) marketing clearance.

The EON device is used for noninvasive laser lipolysis of adipose tissue. The new clearance covers its use on the flanks — the fat between the patient’s rib cage and hip bone.

The FDA previously cleared the device in February 2021 for use on the abdomen. Dominion Aesthetic said the device is now being used by plastic surgeons, dermatologists and medical spas in more than 18 states.
