Ambu Gets CE Mark for Its aScope 5 Single-Use Bronchoscopes

Denmark-based Ambu’s latest generation of single-use bronchoscope, the aScope 5 Broncho, has secured a CE mark certification.

The device features a high-resolution camera chip intended for use with the Ambu aBox 2 processing unit to offer high-quality images. The disposable devices also avoid the risks of crosscontamination associated with reprocessed scopes.

Ambu said it plans to launch the aScope 5 Broncho in Europe right away. It also plans to expand its pulmonary product range later this year by launching a specimen-sampling system, the aScope 5 Broncho sampler set, and a next-generation videolaryngoscope.
