Clarius Gains CE Marks for Seven Wireless Ultrasound Scanners

Clarius has earned CE mark certifications for seven of its “ultraportable” wireless ultrasound scanners for use with Apple and Android devices.

The Vancouver, Canada-based company’s handheld scanners are the size of an iPhone and can provide high-definition ultrasound images using touch-based controls.

The portable systems deliver high image quality that rivals expensive cart-based systems, the company said.

Clarius is focused on developing specialty scanners that include artificial intelligence-based software designed to optimize clarity for various applications.
