Cytek Biosciences Gets CE Marks for Its cFluor Reagents, TBNK Kit for Blood Testing

Cytek Biosciences has received CE-IVD mark certifications for its series of single-color cFluor reagents and a 6-color TBNK test kit for use in clinical flow cytometry.

The test kit determines the frequencies of T-cells, B-cells, NK (natural killer) cells and NKT cells in blood samples.

The cFluor reagents “represent our years of experience understanding full spectrum cytometry and how fluorophores react together in multicolor panels,” said Cytek Biosciences CEO Wenbin Jiang. Fluorophores are microscopic molecules that absorb light of specific wavelengths and emit light of longer wavelengths.

Fremont, Calif.-based Cytek said it aims to offer “a total cell analysis solution to the European market – from instruments to reagents.” The reagents and the test kit are now available for clinical diagnostic use in hospitals, laboratories and clinics across Europe.
