Minnetronix and Lazurite Develop Wireless Surgical Camera

Ohio-based startup Lazurite has partnered with Minnetronix Medical in a development and manufacturing deal for Lazurite’s 510(k)-cleared ArthroFree wireless surgical camera system.

Optics experts at Minnetronix have optimized the ArthroFree’s image signal to increase image quality, enabling physicians to see high-quality real-time video from the wireless device.

The system is designed to simplify sterilization, decrease set-up and take-down times and eliminate components from the surgical tower, the companies said.

The modular system is also compatible with existing patient data consoles, surgical displays, and endoscopes used in minimally invasive operating rooms.
