QuantuMDx Gets CE Mark for PCR Test for COVID-19, Other Respiratory Diseases

The QuantuMDx Group has received a CE-IVD mark for the latest expansion of the company’s Q-POC test platform, a multiplex SARS-CoV-2, influenza A/B and RSV (respiratory syncytial virus) assay panel.  

Q-POC is a portable, battery-operated molecular diagnostic system designed for use in a wide range of settings. The polymerase chain reaction (PCR) equipment can help with rapid triage of at-risk patients by delivering results in 35 minutes, the company said.

QuantuMDx said it plans to further expand the Q-POC platform’s multiplex capabilities for large syndromic panels and antimicrobial resistance mutation panels.
