Exo Broadens Reach in Ultrasound Imaging With Medo AI Acquisition

Redwood City, Calif.-based Exo is expanding its ultrasound imaging portfolio with the purchase the Canadian company Medo AI, developer of the Sweep AI ultrasound imaging platform.

The web-based Medo platform displays and organizes images and includes enhancements like segmented body parts. It also aids in diagnosing common medical conditions using AI trained on thousands of cases.

Medo has received FDA clearance for AI based screening for hip dysplasia and thyroid nodules and is currently developing a Medo Lung module.

The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
