Viz.ai Partners With Hyperfine on Bedside MRI System

Viz.ai is teaming up with Hyperfine, the developer of Swoop — the first FDA-cleared point-of-care magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) device.

The aim of the partnership is to combine the Swoop device with Viz.ai’s Viz LVO (large vessel occlusion) product, an imaging device using artificial intelligence to detect suspected occlusions that could indicate a stroke.

The companies aim to bring neuroimaging to the patient’s bedside enabling more timely clinical decisions and reducing the potential for adverse events associated with transporting critically ill patients.

The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
