Ōura Partners With Natural Cycles, Combining Respective Technologies

Ōura Health has teamed up with Natural Cycles to combine its Oura Ring with Natural Cycles’ FDA-cleared birth control software application.

The Oura Ring, which is worn on a finger, monitors sleep, heart rate and temperature. Users of the Natural Cycles app will be able to sync temperature trend data from the ring to track their temperature automatically while they sleep rather than manually with an oral thermometer when they wake up.

The temperature measurements can then be used to determine fertile and nonfertile days to plan or prevent pregnancy.

The financial terms of the partnership deal were not disclosed.
