Brain Scientific’s NeuroCap Gets CE Mark

Florida-based Brain Scientific has received CE mark certification for its NeuroCap electroencephalogram (EEG) headset device.

NeuroCap has 22 pre-gelled electrodes in a disposable headset and is designed for use in most clinical EEG tests, including routine tests for stroke and epilepsy patients.

The headset, which is available in four sizes, can be used in many different environments, including rural hospitals, ambulances, private practices and athletic events, the company said.

The device was previously cleared by the FDA for the U.S. market. Brain Scientific now plans to launch the product in Europe and other regions that accept the CE mark.
