Reperio Health Gets Patent for At-Home Biometric Screening Technology

The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office has granted Reperio Health a patent for the technology that powers its biometric health screening platform that delivers home-performed medical tests to a mobile app.

The technology uses Bluetooth to connect to FDA-cleared medical devices and reports health metrics such as blood glucose, body mass, cholesterol and blood pressure within 30 minutes.

Users get an overall health assessment report that explains the findings, including alerts when metrics are out-of-range, directing them to follow-up with a healthcare provider when needed.

The product will help “eliminate the hassles of scheduling and traveling to appointments at traditional labs or pharmacies, which ultimately leads to procrastination and undiagnosed underlying health conditions,” said Travis Rush, Reperio’s CEO and co-founder.
