Teva’s Opioid Settlement Agreement Draws in 48 U.S. States

Teva said it has enough support from U.S. states to move forward with its up to $4.25 billion nationwide opioid settlement finalized in November 2022.

The company has either already settled with or has confirmed participation in the nationwide settlement with 48 states and is seeking participation from the two states who haven’t joined — reported to be Nevada and New Mexico.

The company is also looking towards states’ localities, such as counties, to participate in the settlement agreement.

The settlement agreement is not an admission of wrongdoing, Teva said.
