New Medical Imaging Technology Division Announced by AdvaMed

AdvaMed announced the establishment of a new medical imaging technology division that will advocate on behalf of large and small devicemakers, supplanting the Medical Imaging & Technology Alliance (MITA), a division of the National Electrical Manufacturers Association.

Leading medical imaging companies — such as Bayer, Fujifilm Sonosite, GE HealthCare, Hologic, Philips and Siemens Healthineers — have joined AdvaMed in the new division, which will serve medical imaging technology, radiopharmaceutical, contrast media and focused ultrasound device companies.

As is the case with AdvaMed’s Accel (small and emerging growth companies), Dx (diagnostics manufacturers) and Digital Health Tech divisions, the new Medical Imaging Technology division will be led by a board of directors comprised of executives from its imaging company members.
