MILLIPORE ACQUIRES SEROLOGICALS

Millipore has acquired Serologicals, making its combined annual revenue approximately $1.4 billion for this year, Millipore said.

The Massachusetts-based firm specializes in products and services aimed at improving productivity in biomanufacturing and clinical research. The acquisition gives the firm access into emerging markets that include drug discovery products and services and stem cell research.

The combined organization includes over 5,800 employees, including 500 R&D employees worldwide.
