DAIICHI PREVAILS IN PATENT INFRINGEMENT SUIT

Daiichi Sankyo Co. disclosed Thursday that it has prevailed in a patent-infringement lawsuit related to its ear-drop medicine. The Japanese pharmaceutical company said in a document filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission that generic manufacturer Apotex Inc. was seeking the right to sell a generic version of its antibiotic ear-drop medicine, Floxin Otic.
