Pfizer's plant in Ringaskiddy, Cork, Ireland -- Pfizer was one of the first US pharmaceutical businesses to locate in Ireland and set up its first production facility in Ringaskiddy in 1969 to produce food chemicals, including citric acid and gluconate products. Ireland's large pharmaceutical and chemicals industry today issued a stark warning to Government that unless a clear strategy was presented that would address Ireland's worsening energy crisis, massive future investment by companies could be jeopardised and existing jobs could be put at risk.
