FDA OKS BIOSPHERE CATHETER

Medical device maker BioSphere Medical Inc. has received U.S. Food and Drug Administration approval for a catheter to treat uterine fibroids and vascular tumors. Rockland, Mass.-based BioSphere said it expects to begin selling the product, called the EmboCath Plus Infusion Microcatheter, in the United States in September.
