FDA TO REGULATE HEPARIN FLUSHES AS DEVICES

All heparin-containing flush solutions, regardless of when they first appeared on the U.S. market, will be regulated "under the device provisions" of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, FDA announced.
