FDA APPROVES GLENMARK'S GENERIC GABAPENTIN

Glenmark Pharmaceuticals has received FDA approval to market gabapentin oral tablets in 600- and 800-mg dosage strengths.
Gabapentin is an anti-convulsant that is prescribed to help control epileptic seizures. It is also widely used to relieve different kinds of pain and even psychiatric disorders.
The drug is a generic version of Pfizer's Neurontin. With this approval, Glenmark will have 10 generics on the market.
