PFIZER TO SELL, OR SHUT, ITS ARNPRIOR PLANT

Pharmaceutical giant Pfizer announced that it will "exit manufacturing operations" at its plant here by the end of 2008. The company, which employs about 195 people at the facility, said it is hoping to sell the plant and is "currently in discussions related to the sale." If these talks do not result in a sale, the company will continue trying to market the facility or will close it down by the end of 2008.
