FDA AND ADVAMED TO HOLD RISK COMMUNICATION WORKSHOP

The FDA and AdvaMed will hold a public workshop this month for creators and recipients of medical device risk/benefit information. The workshop, titled "Risk Communication on Medical Devices: Sharing Perspectives," will cover the development, dissemination and perception of this information and explore ideas for improvement.

Experts from government, industry and the media will reveal how risks are communicated to practitioners and the public, and how this information is received by its audiences. The FDA will present results from its recent research on risk communication.
