PROCTER LOSES DRUG-MARKETING SUIT

A federal judge has rejected a request by Procter & Gamble Co. to force two other drug makers to stop marketing their osteoporosis medication because of alleged false claims. U.S. District Court Judge Paul Crotty ruled that GlaxoSmithKline and Roche Holding Ltd., parent of Hoffman-LaRoche Inc., may continue advertising Boniva because Procter failed to prove the ads were false and misleading.
