BOVIE MEDICAL CORPORATION ANNOUNCES FDA CLEARANCE TO MARKET GI GENERATOR

Bovie Medical Corporation, a manufacturer and marketer of electrosurgical products, announced that it has received U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) 510(k) clearance to market the ICON GI for gastroenterological procedures. The GI device has been designed in conjunction with input from GI physicians and nurses, offering many features including digital output, a touch screen interface, physician preference database, neutral electrode monitoring, and common sense messages.
