GENENTECH SHARES FALL ON FDA REQUEST FOR MORE AVASTIN INFO

Genentech Inc. shares lost almost 5% Monday after the Food and Drug Administration said it needs more information to consider approving the biotechnology company's oncology drug Avastin as a treatment for advanced breast cancer.
