EX-GUIDANT EXEC WILL LEAD BRISTOL-MYERS

Jim Cornelius, who built a long career in executive positions at Eli Lilly and Co. and Guidant Corp., has been named interim chief executive of Bristol-Myers Squibb after the drug maker ousted CEO Peter R. Dolan over a soured patent agreement for its blockbuster drug Plavix.
