BIOMERIEUX, INC. ACQUIRES INNOVATIVE MICROBIAL GENOTYPING TECHNOLOGY

bioMerieux, a global leader in the field of in vitro diagnostics, has acquired Bacterial Barcodes, Inc. (BBCI), a molecular biotechnology company, based in Athens, Georgia. BBCI developed and markets DiversiLab, a patented system dedicated to the field of automated microbial genotyping, offering solutions to track hospital-acquired infections (HAI) and for environmental control for product safety.
