DANAHER MAY ENTER BID BATTLE FOR AUSTRALIA'S VISION SYSTEMS

Industrial conglomerate Danaher Corp. may jump into the heated battle for Australian medical-technology company Vision Systems Ltd., according to people familiar with the matter. Danaher, based in Washington, has been doing extensive due-diligence on the Melbourne-based maker of cancer-detection instruments and biological materials.
