BOSTON SCIENTIFIC ARTERY OPENER PROMISING
September 28, 2006
Medical device maker Boston Scientific said Tuesday its experimental system for restoring blood flow in patients with blocked leg arteries performed well in a six-month study. The device, called the PolarCath Peripheral Dilation System, is a form of balloon angioplasty that cools the inside of arteries in the legs while opening blockages.
