DEVICE TO COUNTER STROKES IS ON TRACK FOR NORTHSTAR

Northstar Neuroscience Inc. said that its key clinical trial, which uses a brain implant to help stroke victims regain control of hands and arms, is one quarter ahead of schedule. The Seattle-based company also said it has won approval to enroll patients for another trial that will use its brain-stimulation device to treat depression.
