MEDTRONIC INCREASES SOUTH ASIA TSUNAMI RELIEF EFFORT TO $1 MILLION

Medtronic has made an additional $250,000 available through the Medtronic Foundation for South Asia tsunami relief to match the generosity of its 32,000 worldwide employees. Today's announcement is part of a continuing Medtronic effort that began Dec. 30, 2004, and has grown as the scope of the disaster has become apparent resulting in total available foundation and employee donations of $1 million.
