RA MEDICAL SUES PHOTOMEDEX FOR MALICIOUS PROSECUTION

Ra Medical, an emerging medical laser company based in Carlsbad, Calif., was dragged through lengthy legal action by PhotoMedex, a publicly traded company based in Pennsylvania with manufacturing facilities in Carlsbad. In a suit filed in 2003, PhotoMedex made several claims against Ra Medical and Dean Irwin, Ra Medical's founder and President, including conversion, breach of contract and interference with existing PhotoMedex contracts.
